Selecting the Cell Phone Car Charger

!±8± Selecting the Cell Phone Car Charger

While universal cell phone car chargers have become a reality, they may not work with old cell phones, so it may become necessary to purchase a dedicated in car charger from your phone's manufacturer if you've broken or misplaced the one that came with your phone. Many people use in car phone chargers during long trips away from home for vacation or business. There is really no need to lose power because of a dead cell phone battery when you can carry an charger in your auto.

There are actually four different types of cell phone car chargers on the market, five, if you count the newly developed universal car chargers that should work with almost any phone. These chargers are basically direct current or DC cords that plug into your auto's cigarette light to recharge the phone as you're driving. Many of today's newer cars no longer have cigarette lighters or ash trays as standard equipment. However, most manufacturers do install cigarette lighter plugs, now called axillary plugs somewhere in the dash and sometimes even in the back seat. Use these to plug in your in car charger.

Decide which type of charger that you want. In other words do you want the eliminator type of DC cord, which allows you to make phone calls without using the battery. However, it will also not charge your phone. A fast charger allows you to charge your phone battery and use it at the same time. These chargers, however, are subject to overheat and burn out the cell, if you leave it plugged in around the clock.

A third variety is called a trickle phone in car charger and it works the same as the fast chargers, except that it won't burn out or overheat your cell phone battery. It will charge while you use your phone and comes with a sensor that stops the device from charging when the battery is full. It also shuts off the DC cord preventing it from harming your cell phone.

Selecting and installing a wind turbine on the boat

!±8± Selecting and installing a wind turbine on the boat

For some time I have for the way we produce energy without the help of my generator vessel. Did not last very long, generator use up to 100 hours, enough for an oil change anymore. Before there was a solar panel, and then came a change of judge, and now, is the latest in a wind turbine.

State wind to produce energy used for centuries, first in Persia (now Iran) as early as 200 BC, however, were the first windmills known functional developed by the Dutch in 1300 tousing sail cloth stretched over wooden frames. In some embodiments, this sail has been cut, which will take advantage of the unpredictable wind speed conditions. The wind mills from the large Dutch design remained in use throughout Europe until the introduction of the steam engine in 1800.

Wind is actually a form of solar energy. The winds are due to the uneven heating of the atmosphere by the sun, the irregularities of the surface of the earth and the earth rotating. Wind flow patternsbe created from the ground floor, water, vegetation and artificial structures. We humans can use this wind flow for many purposes: a sailboat to climb, a dragon, fly an airplane, and also to generate electricity. The term "wind energy", describes the method using the wind to produce mechanical energy. This mechanical energy can be used for certain functions, such as mechanical grinding grain or pumping of water used. Or used as a boat, a generator can convert to a wind power plantthis mechanical energy into electrical energy.

So, how do they flow? Simply put, a wind turbine works the back of a fan. Make use of electricity as an alternative to the wind, like a fan, turbines use the wind to produce electricity. The wind turns the blades, which spin a shaft. The shaft connects to a generator and produces electricity. In our boat turbine, the generator produces 220 volts 3-phase alternating current. The controller, converter, then converts the power to 12Volts direct current to recharge the battery bank.

Wind availability
In assessing whether a wind turbine is economically realistic for your boat depends on the quality of the wind resource. In general, the average wind speed of at least 10 mph are needed for a small unit to provide enough power to generate its cost. Being on the Atlantic coast, we have the afternoon sea breeze in summer, usually produce 10-15 twenty miles per hour. If the boat is on the inside, probably winddifferent.

The most important component of assessing your wind resource is an anemometer. Anemometers are wind measuring devices, typically designed with a cup mounted on a rotating vertical shaft. The anemometer can "read" the wind speed.

If there is another owner of the boat with a wind-generator system in your vicinity, you may be able to obtain useful information from their owners than the power system and wind speed. Such information mayof enormous value as an option to install an anemometer.

Turbine assembly
The determination of where to mount the wind turbine takes some 'planning. It must be high enough to catch the wind, preferably by arches, sails, masts, which block or alter the flow of the wind. There is also the problem of the rotating blades. We want to make sure that did not hit anything in the curve, especially someone who moves his head while on the boat.

I decided to use for the jobPol-designed kit that was built for our turbine. It offers a 3-point connection, which allows us to have it for maintenance. And 'powder-coated anodized aluminum with stainless steel brackets, designed to withstand the harsh marine.

My system is actually a hybrid system that I designed with both wind and solar energy.

As a neighbor,
Many people feel strongly the need to preserve the view and the tranquility of its harbors. Expect that someDockmates your questions. Understanding the natural fear of your neighbors and be ready to respond to their concerns. Some of the concerns raised about wind turbines are not true. They are not as many think, a danger to birds. A reflective glossy screen is more dangerous to birds of a small wind turbine. They have no way to interfere with radio and television.

Wind Turbine Noise
Your neighbors concerned with the noise of wind turbinesis important. Regardless of the size of the device, the possibility of noise from wind turbines to disturb the other is always there. Even if a turbine does not emit enough sound to break any regulations on noise, the noise it produces is still considered offensive to other people. On older systems were actually very strong, but modern technology has turbine blades, which grew almost silent. Our property is about 3 meters in diameter and 4 twenty mph, the device generates a vibration of light. The plant produces 10 mphno sound.

Wind Turbine Benefits
- The wind is free
- It produces no waste or greenhouse gases
- In general, do not you get in terms of other water activities

Disadvantages of wind turbine
- The wind is not always predictable - some days we do not have the wind
- Some people think that wind turbines spoil the lines of a boat, so I thought at first, but since has changed my opinion
- Some units can be noisy. The small, modern wind turbinesused on boats hardly produce any sound at all

How much power they have to produce
Turbines can be acquired, which are at different levels. The turbine, which I chose a Turbine Sunforce 450 Watt. He has a cut in speed of 4 mph and has a capacity of survival of the wind speed of 157 mph.

The amplifier (power) is prepared:
- 6 twenty mph - 8.3 amps
- Twenty mp 10 - 25 amps
- 14 mph winds - 58.3 amps

The unit is equipped with a brake that is activated automatically when theThe batteries are fully charged, or it can be set manually if desired.
